My apartment is a piece of junk.
- I recently moved out of my parents house and the freedom and relief I have from being on my own is unreal.
I never exactly had a great home life or a close relationship with my parents, so getting out on my own has been extremely beneficial to my mental health. The only real downside is that my apartment is a piece of junk. It’s small and crammed and the heating and air conditioning in the place is so old and loud. I am sure that this HVAC system has been around for decades. It is so noisy that it keeps me up at night and I have been finding it to be very difficult to sleep. This has been bad due to all the sleep I am losing and I am finding myself very tired from work. I have already contacted the building maintenance people to get a heating and cooling professional over here to service it, however they are taking their sweet time and keep giving me different reasons for why they can’t come out that day. I finally had enough and just shut off the entire HVAC system, I prepared and purchased a small window air conditioner, and so I have been sleeping with that so I don’t sweat to death. I finally got an appointment for next week and I will keep the heating and cooling unit shut off and just use the window air conditioner until then. So far the window cooling system has been servicing me well and I don’t mind waiting as long as I have the window a/c unit.
