I’ve been trying to service our air conditioning unit for a few weeks now.
It started giving myself and others trouble after I heard a hissing sound coming from the condenser unit.
I knew that sound wasn’t good, so I did our own research and found a couple possible solutions. I ended up tightening the coils and fan blade because that was what I thought was the largest issue, however despite giving it our best efforts, it still didn’t service the problems I was having with our A/C unit. Technically, the hissing sound disappeared, however then all of us began experiencing other problems. In hindsight, I should have hired an Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman, but I was convinced that I could do it myself and save some money, after the hissing sounds disappeared, I went to change the air filter. I will disclose that I was ashamed by how long I’d let our Heating, Ventilation and A/C plan run separate from replacing the air filter, and I had a nice believe that it could be the reason our A/C plan malfunctioned. After I replaced the air filter, I waited for our A/C unit to beginning running smoothly again, however it never did. This is when I decided that I needed to hire an actual Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional to come handle things properly. I told the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional all about our attempts to service the A/C unit, although he wasn’t impressed. He ended up lecturing myself and others about how I should have called him sooner, because I could have caused a lot of serious injure since I didn’t know anything about Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment.
