Does my kid want to be a farmer or HVAC professional?

I was shocked when our child said she wanted to raise chickens.

All of us ended up getting some hens plus a chicken coup.

I learned about how to build the coup plus how to make it so the water didn’t freeze in the pipes. You basically have to have a bulb working 24/7 to provide enough heating for the water so that it will not freeze solid, otherwise the chickens will be in large trouble and die. Other than that, they don’t need much warmth to make it through the Fall and Winter. So long as they have a fantastic coup to shelter them from the conditions plus a small heated pad set at the right temperature control settings, they would be just fine. The pad provides just enough heating to make it so they will not freeze to death, however the chickens are able to get through the winter time months surprisingly well. So both of us have been taking care of these chickens; feeding plus cleaning up after them and the like. I always remind my child to take care of these duties most of the time unless she is tied up now working on a University project. I must say, she has done a pretty great work being responsible with the chicken care plus coup repair duties. I didn’t believe she would be able to handle it all, including all the eggs that are laid. All of us have had some great dinners though because both of us never have a shortage of eggs or poultry. Our child even takes fresh eggs to all the neighbors plus they are happy to pay money for them which is going towards our daughter’s college fund. She told us she’s not sure she’s going to a traditional school though, she says she wants to be either a farmer or an Heating plus advanced Air Conditioning professional.
