I definitely thought my son was nuts when he was talking about installing his own Heating plus advanced Air Conditioning system in the house he just bought.
- I was proud that he bought his own house, although I wasn’t sure if his head was in the right state of mind in taking on an Heating plus advanced Air Conditioning upgrade.
First of all, I had to point out the fact that he was not a Heating plus Air Conditioning technician. He never had any schooling other than an online Heating plus Air Conditioning certification. Anyway, he spoke of the online tutorials plus walkthroughs he studied to install a ductless mini split. He said it wasn’t complicated at all plus he said these Heating plus advanced Air Conditioning systems could be installed without an Heating plus Air Conditioning technician. I was skeptical although I told him not to do anything without myself being there. I just wanted to make sure he didn’t do something stupid or get himself hurt. I mean, I already thought it was stupid he was installing his own Heating plus advanced Air Conditioning being a non-professional, however he was determined to make this happen. I was a little angry when he first got started on one of the most simple tasks -that was setting up the foundation for the outdoor condenser unit. He just had to make the ground level for the base. I told him he could always pour concrete to make a level base, however he just used something he purchased from the store. He struggled to make it level, although I ended up helping him out with that. He did OK with everything else, though I was upset at times, especially with the shoddy electrical work. He completed the upgrade though, plus it worked wonderfully. Now I don’t think it was such a bad idea after all, even though his Heating plus advanced Air Conditioning warranty is absolutely void.
