An air conditioned cabin was my saving grace at a music festival

Last summer, a group of friends and I went to a music festival on a farm in the country.

We were having a blast listening to music, dancing, and eating fun festival food.

The sun was extra brutal that weekend, so we were careful to wear sunscreen and drink lots of water. On the second day, however, I was dancing at a bluegrass show, when I started feeling dizzy. I tried walking to the back of the concert, to escape the crowd, but before I could make it out I became extremely dizzy and passed out. My friends got me in a golf cart, and drove me to a nearby catering cabin with air conditioning. As soon as I got in the shade and in the air conditioner, I started to feel revived. The cool air from the air conditioner was helping to stop me from overheating, and I was able to relax, drink some water, and take deep breaths. If it weren’t for the air conditioner, I could have suffered from heat exhaustion, or worse. The caterers let me hang out in the air conditioner for a little over an hour, until I was feeling calm, relaxed, and able to go back to the festival. Thanks to the air conditioner, I was able to take a much needed time out from the sun, the heat, and the sweating so I could collect myself and cool off. The rest of the festival was amazing, and I was careful to spend some time in the air conditioning every couple of hours.
