All of the other houses I purchased were pretty straight forward when it came to the renovations.
But then, I hit a snag with the Heating and A/C equipment on this last house.
I’m just a few years from retirement and I wanted to have something to do in retirement so I decided to start buying small starter homes, repair them up and turn them into rental units. This has been something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’m not the sort who watched a few flipping shows on television and decided to get into it. I’ve regularly been interested in home improvement. That is evidenced in my home. All the added value in that home comes directly from me. And I’ve also jumped in to help others on projects to further my experience when it came to household projects. I knew this would come in handy when I started buying these homes. I easily wasn’t all that interested about spending my retirement sitting in the a/c of my residing room. So I purchased that first house. I was amazed by how well that how thing went. I was able to do everything however replace the Heating and A/C equipment. I have an Heating and A/C contractor acquaintance who is doing these houses for me. It was easy with the others as well. I did all the inside stuff and the Heating and A/C contractor replaced the Heating and A/C equipment. But this last house, all of us ran into HVAC duct that was absolutely not reuseable. So all of us had to make a change. But my Heating and A/C contractor came through with the ductless multi split system.
