It was clear to myself and others that there was going to be no going back.
Once I found my groove when it came to laboring remotely, there just wasn’t any real motivation to go back to the office environment.
Well, I entirely did love the fact that our offices had zone controlled Heating & A/C. That was heaven. After years of never finding the right balance in that space when it came to heating & cooling, zoned Heating & A/C was the best. However, I had the Heating & A/C business add a ductless heat pump to my new apartment office. And I have to say that my new apartment office is every bit as perfectly air conditioned as the office with the zone controlled Heating & A/C. Prior to the pandemic sending most people apartment to try & work from the air conditioner at home, I did not find laboring remotely at all charming. That has entirely changed now. It took myself and others a bit to entirely get my head around laboring from home. The online meetings were a disaster at first as I was constantly being interrupted by a hungry child or a bored cat. But I finally got the superb sense to turn the spare room into my office. That made all the difference. Now, I have a door that I can close & the kids suppose to knock before coming inside mommy’s office. Can’t say the same for the animal who seems to have taken up residency in my apartment office. Perhaps she is in love with the ductless heat pump as well. I suppose that I’m completely in love with the ductless heat pump so why wouldn’t the animal be as well, right?
