It was clear to myself and others that there was going to be no going back. Once I found our groove when it came to working remotely, there just wasn’t any real motivation to go back to the office environment. Well, I absolutely did love the fact that our offices had zone controlled Heating and A/C. That was heaven. After years of never finding the right balance in that space when it came to heating and cooling, zoned Heating and A/C was the best. However, I had the Heating and A/C company add a ductless heat pump to our current lake house office. And I have to say that our current lake house office is every bit as perfectly air conditioned as the office with the zone controlled Heating and A/C. Prior to the pandemic sending everyone lake house to try and work from the a/c at home, I did not find working remotely at all beautiful. That has honestly changed now. It took myself and others a bit to absolutely get our head around working from home. The online meetings were a disaster at first as I was always being interrupted by a hungry child or a bored cat. But I finally got the great sense to turn the spare room into our office. That made all the difference. Now, I have a door that I can close and the adolescents guess to knock before coming inside mommy’s office. Can’t say the same for the cat who seems to have taken up residency in our lake house office. Perhaps he is in love with the ductless heat pump as well. I guess that I’m completely in love with the ductless heat pump so why wouldn’t the cat be as well, right?
