It was clear to me that there was going to be no going back. Once I found my groove when it came to working remotely, there just wasn’t any real motivation to go back to the office environment. Well, I really did love the fact that our offices had zone controlled HVAC. That was heaven. After years of never finding the right balance in that space when it came to heating and cooling, zoned HVAC was the best. However, I had the HVAC company add a ductless heat pump to my new home office. And I have to say that my new home office is every bit as perfectly air conditioned as the office with the zone controlled HVAC. Prior to the pandemic sending everyone home to try and work from the air conditioning at home, I did not find working remotely at all appealing. That has certainly changed now. It took me a bit to really get my head around working from home. The online meetings were a disaster at first as I was constantly being interrupted by a hungry child or a bored cat. But I finally got the good sense to turn the spare room into my office. That made all the difference. Now, I have a door that I can close and the kids know to knock before coming inside mommy’s office. Can’t say the same for the cat who seems to have taken up residency in my home office. Perhaps she is in love with the ductless heat pump as well. I know that I’m completely in love with the ductless heat pump so why wouldn’t the cat be as well, right?
