There was 18 inches of snow on the ground and there were still cellphone calls coming in from people desperately wanting help because their gas furnace was not working.
At midnight, my husband told myself and others not to wait up for him any longer because he was still working. I woke up at 6 AM and looked outside. The snow had lessened, but it was still coming down. My husband wasn’t home, and I was sure he was going to be sleepy till he got back. Between him and the other Heating and Air Conditioning suppliers in the business; they had restored heat to over 25 families that night. He was proud of what they had done, but he was sleepy. The first thing I did was to pull down the covers off him and then prod him into a boiling shower. I never see my husband so sleepy that he could stand in the shower and fall asleep. When he finally woke up that afternoon, the cellphone was ringing. There were two more families separate from heat, and they needed an Heating and Air Conditioning supplier. I hoped he would not be out as long as he was last night. He promised he would be lake house in a couple of hours because this task was just a easy cleaning.
