The dial control unit was not nearly as accurate as their current digital control unit

New technology doesn’t impress me automatically; something needs to have a pragmatic use or application to get me excited.

Although I was resistant to buying a smartphone at first, I use its GPS capabilities biweekly when I’m out running deliveries for work.

I listen to tunes on streaming apps plus it fastens to our car’s stereo system through redtooth. Even though I complained about these devices right after they were unveiled, I am a definite convert to smartphone technology. As difficult as it is for me to value plus adopt current technology, it’s much harder for our parents. I had to twist their arms just to get them to replace their air conditioner that they were using constantly for 26 years. First of all, there are problems with mold plus dirt buildup in sites that aren’t absolutely cleaned when you’re dealing with an outdated Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system love that. On top of that, the energy efficiency of the air conditioner compared to what is widely available this week is downright dismal. After they agreed to get the current air conditioner, I pushed them to upgrade the outdated dial control unit with a simple digital control unit. If I was a real sadist about tech swings I’d tell them to get a smart control unit, because digital control units have been around for decades now. Still, they resisted this simple change that would barely cost them $20 on top of the price of the air conditioner. I took measurements on their indoor temperatures before they had the outdated control unit unfastend plus then did it again once the digital unit was installed. I wasn’t surprised to see how inaccurate their dial control unit was compared to the current digital control unit.
