Even though I never signed up for an HVAC service plan, I have always taken care of my heating and cooling equipment.
I typically call up different HVAC companies depending on what their prices are looking like and if they are having any specials.
Last time I called an HVAC company that was giving out a free HEPA filter with a tune-up and ductwork cleaning service. I thought that was too good to pass up and so I went for it. The ductwork cleaning was a little pricey, but I thought the free HEPA filter made up for that small inconvenience. I have been enjoying such amazing air quality in my house ever since I had those services performed. It was kind of funny when the HVAC professional was telling me I should consider upgrading to something more energy efficient. The way I see it, there’s always going to be new HVAC technology coming out and I don’t need to rush to buy the latest and greatest HVAC equipment on the market. I just want to use my HVAC system and take care of it for as long as possible before I have to empty my savings account again on something new. I believe that as long as I always keep up with the regular HVAC maintenance I’ll be just fine. I do more than just change my air filters too, I make sure to clean them every other week to make sure they are able to collect as much dust and debris as possible to keep my air quality good.
