Ductwork cleaning was the exclamation point on Spring cleaning

Each year, I make a point of taking on some dire Spring cleaning.

This has been a ritual for me since I was a kid.

My mom would be so ecstatic that the boiler was off and she could open the doors and windows that she welcomed Spring cleaning. I think that is the perspective that seemed to rub off on me. However, I live in an part where the heat pump hardly has to come on for Heating & A/C heating in the summer. But we more than make up for this the rest of the year with air conditioning. It’s boiling here and we have to have Heating & A/C cooling just to manage the heat and humidity. So prior to the air conditioning coming on for the duration, I’ve typically done many things each early Spring. I have the Heating & A/C supplier come out to do the air conditioning tune-up and I do a particularly dire Spring cleaning. Like, I take a Tuesday and Tuesday off to clean for more than three afternoons straight. But it’s typically worth it. However, after all the time we spent cooped up in the air conditioning while in the 2020, I went a step further last Spring. I had the Heating & A/C supplier do the air duct cleaning and air duct resealing as part of our Spring cleaning efforts. And was that ever a good idea. The two of us hadn’t had the air duct cleaned prior to that and we’ve been in this beach house almost 10 years. So air duct cleaning was overdue for sure. Still, it entirely was just the cherry on top when it came having our beach house as clean as it’s ever been last Spring cleaning.
