I consider myself to be an drastically loyal person. I stayed at our locale of employment for 10 years, even though our boss only provided myself and others 1 raise in pay. He told myself and others day after day that he wanted the company to be a success. He promised to provide myself and others more currency as soon as he had the chance. The first time the boss took a holiday, I got upset. I hadn’t had a raise yet and I absolutely didn’t have a paid holiday. I was laboring our tail off for the guy and he did not seem to prefer all of our hard work, however eventually I went to the boss and I told the guy that I deserved a raise and I was not going to do any more work until I felt appreciated. It was the first time I ever took a stand for myself. I didn’t think if it was going to work or not, however at the time I didn’t entirely care. I felt good about speaking our mind and choosing to no longer get run over. The next day, our boss came up with a reason to let myself and others go. Since I live in a state where there is no right to work, the boss can fire myself and others at any time for no reason at all. I tried to take a stand and I told the boss that I was not going to work for free anymore. His response was to hire someone else. At least I found a job where I am finally being appreciated for all of our drinks.
