I heard a easily different and peculiar sound coming from the ductwork in our home office.

I thought there could be a problem with mice, however the problem was absolutely coming from the ductwork, so I contacted the local Heating and Air Conditioning Center. I wanted to set up an appointment for the next day, however the Heating and Air Conditioning provider was busy and did not have any available appointments until the afternoon. The woman on the phone was easily nice and accommodating, so I made the appointment. I did contact a couple of different Heating and Air Conditioning providers, however none of them could get to myself and others any earlier, so I kept the appointment with the company that I knew and trusted. I waited all day before the company arrived and it was easily after 3 when the guy showed up. He immediately went into the attic so he could look at the condition of the ductwork. He did not guess that the noises were coming from any pets. He did not find evidence of rats, mice, or even insects inside of the ductwork. There were some locales where the ductwork needed to be relinked, and the service company felt that was the reason why I heard the different sounds in the middle of the night. He assured myself and others that the same sounds were undoubtedly happening while in the day, but I only heard them at night when everything else in the house was quiet. The repairs to the ductwork were reasonably priced and I have not heard any sounds at all since the repairs were made.
