My dad used to service stuff around the house, even though our spouse’s dad didn’t, but believe it or not, that has been a source of satisfiedion in our marriage for years now, however you wouldn’t believe that it would definitely make all that much difference, but the way that you were raised definitely comes into play when you try to build a life with someone else. I remember when I was growing up, all of us never paid for repairs. All of us never definitely had to have a repairman come out to service anything around the house. My dad was always fixing the air conditioner unit, the oil furnace, the appliances, you name it. She was just definitely good at stuff care about that & so all of us got off the hook for service costs all the time. However, our spouse’s upbringing was completely different. She always says that she cannot remember a single time that her dad ever fixed anything around the house. She said she only remembers her dad yelling at the thermostat & kicking the oil furnace in the basement when it would not turn on. That always makes me laugh because her dad is such a nice lady. She just hates it whenever things tear up & do not do what they are supposed to do. She said she remembers how her dad used to pay a luck for an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company to come to their home to service their Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system whenever it tore up. Now that we’re married, I halfway expect our spouse to service our heating & cooling system for us when it goes on the bconnect, but she just expects to call for a service instead.
