Changing the air filters of your central heating and air conditioning system is something that is very important.
You are supposed to change them once every month or every 2 months.
I can be forgetful. And I was recently. This cost me a serious heating and air conditioning system repair as a result. Because I forgot to change the air filter of my central heating and air conditioning system for 4 months it caused it to overwork itself and I ended up blowing out both the motor and the fan of the central heating and air conditioning system. When it first happened I had to call the local heat and a/c company to send out a certified heating and air conditioning specialist to have a look at my central heating and cooling unit to see what the problem was. When it was discovered that the motor and the fan had completely gone he asked me when was the last time I changed the air filter of my central heating and air conditioning system unit. When I told him I was really embarrassed that I had forgotten all this time. And this was the whole reason my central heating and air conditioning system blew out in the way that it did. I was really lucky I did not have to invest into a brand new, up to date and very expensive central heating and air conditioning system unit as a result of this foolishness on my part. Well, I paid the price and learned my lesson real good.
