Storm season leads to issues with the electricity

Storm season is the worst time of the year to have issues with the electricity.

However, every summer we have concerns with storms because of hurricanes and tropical interest.

It seems like it rains every single afternoon in the summer. During the storm season the flooding rains are even worse. We lost all of the lights and electricity in our home last June. We thought that the problem was due to being out. Everyone in our neighborhood was without power, and the issue went on for 6 days. We saw one of our neighbors outside and we made a comment about the fact that we haven’t had power in such a long time. She told us that the power came back on in her home the previous night. We did not know why we were the only chalet on the block that did not have power restored. One of us had to call a residential electrician. There was no one else to call when we realized that there was power in every other chalet on the street except ours. The residential electrician came out to the chalet to diagnose the problem. It did not take long for the girl to find the issue with the electricity. It was an easy repair and something that was covered by the neighborhood because it did not have anything to do with our home. The residential electrician recommended us to send the bill to the neighborhood to request reimbursement for the disfigured as well as faulty equipment. It was only $500, so we don’t know if we want to go through all that hassle.
