It’s funny because my wife and I basically fell in love listening to the song by Toto known as “Africa”.
I remember taking her to the lookout point up in the mountain.
It was basically the place known as makeout point, but we only planned to talk and get to know each other. I had a mixtape playing and she kept getting excited because she appreciated my taste in music. I mean, it was only music I recorded off the radio, but it put her in a great mood. We really had a great time talking and before I knew it, we became more than just friends. It was something about that song that really connected us because we were both feeling the vibes of the music and appreciating the lyrics. After that night, we were officially dating and this was way back in college. Things are much different these days, we have a couple of kids, a nice home, a great HVAC system, and even a family dog. Oh yea, we have a couple of cats as well. The animals kind of irritated me at first, but they grew on me. The thing that bothered me the most about having pets is the fact that they shed so much hair and the pet dander is ridiculous. I guess I’m lucky that I’m not allergic, but I wished that I had that as an excuse not to get any pets. I have to change the air filter all the time, but it’s not such a big deal. Like I said, those animals ended up growing on me and I genuinely care about them. I care about my wife immensely too and I hope she knows that.
