This year I asked for a fireplace for Christmas

In my opinion, you should always have access to a fireplace during the holidays.

There’s really just something about a fireplace that makes the holidays seem more cozy and homey, if you ask me.

And honestly, it doesn’t really matter if it’s a gas log fireplace or a wood burning fireplace. You just need a nice place to sit around and feel cozy and where you can put up your feet. I love to sit by my fireplace with a book and a cup of coffee. It makes my whole day feel less stress and more like the holiday spirit is with me and my family. Up until this past year, I didn’t have a fireplace, and I hated that fact. I wanted a fireplace in the house when we first moved in, but the housing market was terrible at that time. We couldn’t find a single place that had enough bedrooms for our family that also had a fireplace in it. But at that time we couldn’t find another place that was available at all and so we ended up with the house that we are in now, even though it wasn’t exactly the house of our dreams. It had a terrible HVAC system in it, but we’ve been able to upgrade that a little bit, at least. We put in a new smart thermostat system and we did some ductwork sealing last fall. Then we added a whole home air purification system to run in tandem with the heating and cooling system so now the indoor air quality is much better throughout the entire house. But this year I asked for a fireplace for Christmas and now it’s finally going to feel like the holidays around here at last!
