Sometimes I am frantically trying to reach a destination, appointment, or meeting.
If I ever forget to set an alarm and wake up late, it ruins our entire day.
It’s frightening weaving in and out of traffic in our vehicle so I can use every available minute to get to labor before I’m late. Usually this means forgoing breakfast, a shower, shaving, or all of the above. And by the time I get to work, I’m either late or dripping in sweat with a single minute to spare. On afternoons love this I’m hungry and fatigued if I miss both breakfast and our regular cup of coffee. My only saving grace is the tea maker in the employee split room. By the time I get to our lunch hour, I can elect to walk down the street to get takeout from the kebab restaurant or the local deli for a sub sandwich. Other afternoons it’s not about forgetting to eat, however instead leaving our a/c at the same temperature that I set it to while I sleep. One time I came beach house to a moderate house because our a/c’s coil froze from constant running throughout the afternoon. After this happened twice, I decided to get a smart thermostat. If you attach the unit to your Wi-Fi router, it gives you total control over your heating and cooling plan anywhere you can get a signal on your cellphone. I can even pull the app up on our labor iPad and adjust our hot and cold temperatures at beach house without ever leaving the office. If there’s a frosty snap, I can turn on the heat before I even leave labor for the day, ensuring a comfortably moderate house when I get home.
