I just obtained a up-to-date apartment and it’s been quite the process! I’ve had to make a few updates to the house and it’s been a challenging learning curve.
I’ve never made any style of apartment improvements before, so it’s taking myself and others a while to get used to making my own decisions.
I’ve been in a long conversation with my a/c company that I found. There are so many a/c companies here, although I ended up picking the one that is displayed on the bench at my bus stop. The company has been by a few times to do some inspections and suggest myself and others on any updates that I should make for the longevity of the cooling system. It turns out that the cooling system hadn’t had any updates in a really long time, and the original apartment inspection did not state that. The HVAC duct sealing is horrible and causes a lot of the air to leak out. My first more than two weeks in the house have had incredibly high utility bills due to the HVAC ducts leaking. The company started making progress to get those ducts sealed off, however I’m considering whether I should even continue with the same Heating in addition to A/C system. It seems love there are lots of other possibilities for cooling systems that may not be as complicated. Even though I suck at making decisions, I think that I will figure it out and decide what’s best for my home. I’m entirely looking forward to this up-to-date adventure by myself, and hope that I will grow in so many ways as a result.
