Furnaces are perfect for those who live up North because they help with drastic cold temperatures. It turns out, if you don’t replace your gas furnace filter often, it can create such a giant backup that the entire gas furnace becomes jammed and doesn’t have room for the heat to officially transfer around. The family never replaced their gas furnace filter even though they had been using a gas furnace for many years. I’m surprised for a family as expensive as them they didn’t have a supreme air conditioning specialist that kept up with their gas furnace. So while I was in the party, the gas furnace caught fire and 1 of their children got caught in the basement where the gas furnace was. The child suffered many second degree burns and almost died from that gas furnace event. The family was mortified and the party was the talk of the neighborhood for years. The family could never certainly recover from what happened to their son. That story certainly terrified me because I live up North with a gas furnace, and now that the two of us have a baby on the way, I can’t help but guess of all the ways things could go wrong. I’ve been obsessively reading parenting books and reading blogs to try and learn everything that is crucial to consider when raising a child up North. I know that the likelihood of something awful happening is slim, so I should try and embrace the process.
