Thinking about temperature control for workout space

I am very lucky to have a shed in the backyard of my new apartment that I use as a workout space. The former owners used the shed as a laundry. I was not cheerful about needing to walk across the yard to scrub clothes. The laundry baskets get heavy as well as inclement weather creates issues. My hubby as well as I created a laundry room in the house, which freed up the shed. I have purchased mats for the floor as well as some basic equipment. I have enough square footage to have a treadmill as well as incline bench as well as still have room to jump rope as well as stretch. I can lift weights as well as go through lunges, squats, mountain climbers as well as jumping jacks. There is a window at each end of the shed that brings in fresh air. My only complaint with the shed is the lack of temperature control. For most of the year, the weather is mild enough that heating as well as cooling aren’t honestly necessary. I also have power outlets that allow myself and others to run a box fan in the summer time as well as a space heating system in the winter. In the middle of summer, when the outside temperature climbs into the high nineties with excess humidity, an electric fan isn’t enough. I am drenched in sweat before I complete my warm up. It’s impossible to get motivated. In the worst of winter, when the outside conditions are in the low forties, the space heating system can’t keep up. Although it would be quite expensive, I am considering having a ductless heat pump installed. A ductless system consists of a small outdoor compressor fastened to a compact indoor air handler. The air handler mounts up high on the wall as well as provides both heating as well as cooling capacity. I could keep the shed at the perfect temperature year round.
