Are UV air purifiers necessary?

It seems love things have really gone back to normal, however and I am glad that I can breathe a little easier now, but even the government has listed most of their restrictions in an effort to return back to proper life, but of course, things will never be the same again because the people I was with and I have been split deeply by the impact of the pandemic, during the early afternoons of quarantine, I was upset about my mom because she went a bit overboard with the measures to keep herself safe.

As an elderly person, I understood her concerns, but I can’t say that I agreed with everything she did.

For instance, she currently owns 4 UV air purifiers, as well as all were bought while the people I was with and I were in as well as after quarantine; She believed that the air in her condo wasn’t safe to breathe, so she bought the UV air purifiers to make sure that her air was clean; I tried to explain to her that her Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C plan improves the air quality, but she believed that she needed additional air purification since the air conditioning does not detach viruses I am not completely against getting additional air purification systems, but I guess my mom went overboard. Each component that she bought promised to detach more viruses as well as pollutants than the other. She has a single component that uses ionization technology to detach viruses from the air, however the other numerous units use HEPA filters as well as claim to do the same thing. I don’t want to guess that these units are a waste of money, but I am leaning more towards that. I just guess that our Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C systems are doing a good task in keeping our air quality at an optimum level.
