Tomorrow is the first day of Fall and it is reminding me that I am going to have to buy a plane ticket soon to go back to the states. I think I will buy a one way ticket if the price is good and then book my flight back later. If it costs a lot more for a one way ticket then I’ll just buy a round trip ticket and lock in both dates. I’m going back to visit my family and work for my local contractor friend to help cover the flight. All the other expenses are pretty much the same as living here overseas except for some Uber rides I will need each day. The local business near my home sells suitcases and I am going to buy one because my old one is totally shot. That is about the only extra expense other than the flight for this trip back. I think I will spend about $400 on Uber rides while I am there but that isn’t a big deal as I have savings to cover that. I work for this HVAC company in my town and have stashed a year of savings in the bank so that helps a lot with things like trips back home. I just want some of mom’s homemade Christmas cookies while hanging out at her house and listening to Christmas music. My mom and dad both worked in the HVAC industry as HVAC reps and made a lot of friends, and money, over the years. They are getting old and I want to be with them as much as possible before they are gone one day.
