A few fans can save you money

On those really hot summer months I have to always run my central air conditioning system twenty four hours per day and seven days per week.

  • This can be quite a work out on my central heat and a/c unit itself.

Also, it is quite a work out on my electric bill. However I figured out a great way to save on energy use of the central air conditioning system on those hot summer days and nights. I went out and bought a few floor fans which compliment the ceiling fans I already have. What I do is set the thermostat at around 76 degrees and then turn on the ceiling fans and the few floor fans. This blows the air conditioning extra hard around the house and keeps the house and the air conditioning flowing even after the central heat and a/c unit shuts down after reaching that internal temperature of 76 degrees! By doing this, I do not have to keep my thermostat cranked down to 72 degrees, which is what I used to do during these hot summer days and nights before I figured out the trick of having a few floor fans going along with the ceiling fans. This is a great energy saving tip that everyone should be aware of. You will end up saving several hundred dollars in energy use within the course of a summer if you do what I am saying to do. No question about it. I could even show you my old electric bills versus my new ones after buying the floor fans.
