If you are ever having trouble with the heating and cooling system at your house, then the first thing you should do is check out your thermostat, this isn’t something that I ever really thought about in the past, but I had to learn it the hard way about a year ago, I thought that there was a big issue with my heating and cooling machine last summer and I called my local Heating and Air Conditioning dealer to see if they could send a Heating and Air Conditioning supplier to do some diagnostic work on my heating and cooling system.
I made an appointment with them, even though it was going to cost me quite a bit to have them do it.
Well, I stayed home from work the following day so that I could let the Heating and Air Conditioning workman in. When he pulled up in the HVAC maintenance truck that afternoon, I thought he would end up being there for many hours. I figured that it would take a while to figure out what the problem was, and then numerous more hours to repair the air conditioning problem. I told my boss that I wouldn’t be into work until the later part of the afternoon that day. Well, you could say that I was pretty surprised when he was in my house for all of ten minutes before he came and told me that he was done with the job. It turned out that the only issue with my heating and cooling system was my thermostat. It wasn’t even out of batteries or anything. The problem was that the thermostat was turned off! I must have turned it off when I was cleaning and I didn’t realize it. I was so embarrassed.
