My last step of the day

Every single day before I go to bed I have a daily routine that I follow.

I always brush my teeth, make sure that all the lights are off and then the very last thing I do is either turn down or turn up my thermostat.

In the winter I always make sure to turn down the thermostat a few notches from what I have it at while I am awake. Because the central heating sometimes gets to be too much in my bedroom while I am trying to sleep. This can cause my body to feel too hot and dry and sometimes even get one of those dry coughs. Setting the thermostat at a nice even 74 degrees makes it perfect before bed. Then in the summer time it is the same scenario but in reverse. I will turn up the thermostat to around 75 because it will sometimes get too cold with the air vents blowing directly on me while I am sleeping. Your body temperature drops when you sleep, so you do not need as much air conditioning as you do when you are awake and moving around the house. My thermostat is one of those old dial thermostats too. Which believe it or not I prefer. There is no battery needed like with a smart thermostat. And they rarely break down on you for any kind of electrical reason like some digital thermostats can do sometimes. I am very happy having an old fashioned dial thermostat. Dial thermostats are the original thermostat. And like most of everything, older is better in my humble opinion!
