I was saving a good amount of money for that new air conditioner appliance for a long time! My dwelling doesn’t have a central air conditioner.
My last dwelling had a central air conditioner, so I never needed to own a window air conditioner appliance.
When I moved into this dwelling, I had a narrow budget, so I have been saving for a window air conditioner appliance ever since I moved into this dwelling. I wanted a nicer window air conditioner, so I knew that it was going to take even longer to get my window air conditioner appliance. After nearly a year of saving every extra penny that I could manage, I finally had enough money for the window air conditioner appliance. I was trying to go to the store that week, but since it was fall, I wasn’t really in a hurry. In a few weeks, the window air conditioner appliances would go on sale, & I would be able to get one at a wonderful price. However, I came to learn that one of my friends just had a major setback. They just had to have major surgery, & they didn’t have health insurance. They are trying to pay off their bill, but now, they are not able to afford their rent. If they didn’t pay it within 10 days, they were going to lose their dwelling. They also have 3 kids. Sure, I had enough money for the window air conditioner appliance, but I couldn’t let my friend become completely homeless. I made the choice to not purchase the window air conditioner appliance, & I provided them the money instead. The look on my buddy’s face was worth skipping the air conditioner appliance. I will be able to save the money again for the air conditioner, but I might have never had that particular opportunity again.
It was more important to help my buddy instead of getting an A/C appliance
