My dad’s furnace is not working.
I am so glad that he decided to test out his furnace before the cold weather started coming our way.
I know that it is only August, but it starts getting cold around here in mid September. My dad has always been the kind of person to look ahead and prepare for the future the best that he knows how. I have always admired that about my dad. He decided to turn on his furnace the other day because it was starting to cool down during the night, and he wanted to make sure that his furnace was working properly for the upcoming winter months. Well, his furnace would not even turn on. He said that it was the weirdest thing. He tried turning it on several times, and nothing happened. He ended up calling an HVAC technician, and he came out to check out my dad’s furnace. The HVAC technician could not even figure out what was wrong with the furnace. He told my dad that the furnace just died. There was no fixing the furnace. The HVAC technician advised my dad to just buy a brand new furnace. He said that even if they tore my dad’s old furnace all apart and were able to fix it, it would cost almost as much as buying a new furnace. My dad decided to take the HVAC technician’s word for it, and he bought a new furnace. I am so glad that he decided to check and make sure his furnace was working before the winter weather started. It would have been bad to not have a working furnace in the cold weather.
