Should I Springtime for the radiant heated floors?

When I moved into our apartment I inherited a lot of things I didn’t want.

  • My wife was hesitant to do any apartment renovations so I was stuck with the rugs, wallpaper & things the previous owners left behind.

It has been years & I now have the money saved to do what I want. The first thing I want to do is rip out all the rugs in the home. I have a poop brown carpet in every room in the house. It makes it look bland & stale. I want to have all brick floors that are simple to clean. Since I live in the north though, that will be quite cold. I have never been a fan of our electric fireplace though. I am toying with the idea of ripping out the fireplace & instead placing electric heated mats underneath the brick for radiant heating. Radiant heating is said to be a unquestionably efficient heater. The electric heat stays at the flooring level, it does not rise & get wasted on your ceiling. Due to this, you can set the thermostat a little lower & save some money. There are no sizzling & freezing spots since the same amount of heat is in every corner of the house. Electric heating means no air is being blown around & ruining the indoor air pollen levels. It is a silent idea that warms all stationary objects too. The couch & chairs naturally recognize hotter. It will be an costly update, but our apartment will look a lot better. The brick floors being heated will recognize awesome too.
