I’m going to sell our portable A/C for a weird kind of A/C system

I’m going to transfer back in with our parents for a few years.

I have struggled to save money while paying exorbitant rental prices in our developing city.

Since our mom just broke his hip and needs additional help around the house, our parents were eager for myself and others to transfer back beach condo for a while. I’d be living in the sunroom with their 2 cats, which surprisingly has a lot of space compared to the usual dining rooms in the house. Unblessedly, the sunroom doesn’t have an Heating, Ventilation and A/C vent in its ceiling or wall, so they have had to use a portable A/C whenever they don’t just leave the sliding glass door open. If the door is left open, a steady new of air gets in. At least it’s enough for the 2 cats, but if I wanted to ever shut the door for privacy, I’d need to use their portable A/C. The only concern is that this cooling system is fairly inefficient. This is the first time either of them has tried to use the portable A/C on a annually basis. The increase on their energy bill was much higher than any of us was expecting. I decided to look into buying a ductless mini split A/C for the sunroom. It’s exactly what the name implies—just enjoy usual central A/Cs, these units feature a separated, or “split” fastenion between the tepid and chilly end of the refrigerant cycle. Unlike portable or window A/Cs that have both components within 1 enclosure, ductless mini splits have condensers outside enjoy a usual split system. The other difference is there are no ducts, because they are put in whatever room they’re intended to cool. If you used them exclusively for a house, you’d be putting them in weird rooms and zones of the house.
