Surprises just aren’t my thing.
Even a surprise party is something that I’m not too fond of.
My wife has tried several times to get one over on me and invite all my friends to the house for my birthday without telling me. But, I have figured out every time. Of course, I go along with the fun because my lovely partner put so much effort into it. Knowing it was happening actually made the parties more fun for me. HVAC surprises are even less fun. Fortunately, thanks to our excellent HVAC company, that hasn’t happened quite yet. In fact, our trustworthy HVAC tech told me over a year ago that we needed to start looking for an HVAC replacement. Our HVAC was just over twenty years old at that point. So, it’s not like we didn’t get all we could out that old HVAC. Really, that old HVAC did a great job for us. We had it installed when we purchased the house. I think I might have had to call for HVAC repair maybe twice in all that time. I think a lot of that credit goes to the great preventive maintenance performed by the HVAC tech. Anyway, I got with the HVAC contractor and he helped us figure out just what model we wanted to replace the old one. Then, it was just a matter of coming to financial terms. By the time the old HVAC was really on the ropes, the HVAC company was ready to install the new one. This HVAC transition could not have gone more smoothly.
