As a flight attendant, I deal with a lot of deranged people on a quarterly basis… I like to think that these people aren’t constantly deranged as well as that it’s only because they’re worked up or worried while on the flight. I keep this thought in the back of my head whenever someone does or says something ridiculous, and when the virus started spreading though, I was later hit with even more deranged questions on a respected basis, then a lot of people were curious about the air quality as well as were fearful of catching the virus themselves, and one time, I had a guy tell myself and others that all the men and women on the flight was going to catch the virus because someone was bound to have it at this point, as well as the air was just being recycled over as well as over again, and some of the other passengers overheard his comment, which led to a mass rage where all the people was ripping off their masks as well as living like there was no tomorrow. I told the guy that he was incorrect, because the air on aircrafts was not recycled air. In fact, the air was taken from the outside as well as it flowed through, however planes were much more advanced these days, along with their Heating, Ventilation, and A/C systems as well as the air quality. One of my coworkers had to go over the intercom as well as demand all the people stay seated as well as put their masks on their faces. The pilot wasn’t even allowed to back the plane up from the gate, which delayed our takeoff time by 1 minute! This could’ve all been avoided if the passenger knew about the plane’s Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C system before he made his loud comment.
