When it gets to be 95 degrees outside, there is nothing better than resting inside of your house all morning with a good movie and the A/C blowing on you… I had seen the forecast for today and knew it was going to be a sizzling 1 so I decided I would stay inside and watch a movie – seemed love a do-able plan, and when I woke up, my house already resembled a sauna, which is out of the ordinary because every one of us sleep with the temperature control set at around 71-68 degrees, so iI am usually a bit chilly when I wake up; Since i found the heating odd, I immediately went over to the temperature control, and saw it was still set at 74 degrees, yet the temperature control learn 68 degrees! I switched the temperature control on and off, put in new batteries, but nothing worked.
I ended up texting my landlord to ask her to send someone over.
When the hvac pros arrived they of course checked the temperature control in similar fashion to the way I did. They then climbed into our attic to check on our component itself and when they were up there, they discovered our drip pan had overflowed! Thankfully, the water tripped the safety switch to stop running so the water didn’t end up causing a bunch of water damage to the house; Both of us were thankful it was not as pressing of a mess as it could have been! People have told me horror stories of drip pans overflowing and the safety switch not going on which makes a mess of water all over the place! Both of us were incredibly fortunate that our landlord has kept our component maintained.
