Losing Power Means Losing A/C

A hurricane was due in the next few mornings when every one of us realized every one of us was not ready – every one of us needed a generator! Both of us were new to hurricanes and this year’s season saw its first hurricane unusually early in the season.

Both of us rushed out to the home store to go ahead and get a generator and other items every one of us may find useful, but our greatest fear was losing power because it was so darn sizzling and being without a functioning air conditioning plan would be yucky, however unfortunately, the home store has already sold out of backup generators that had enough power that would help our air conditioning run.

Several mornings later when the hurricane crossed our path, of course every one of us ended up without power. In an effort to be ahead of the problem, every one of us kept the house incredibly cold for a few days ahead of the storm – every one of us had the temperature control set to 65 degrees. This didn’t really do much good because within several hours of losing power, the temperature was already climbing. The storm had started to pass, but there was still a lot of wind and the power hadn’t come back on yet, too many trees had fallen down and knocked powerlines down! Both of us could barely take it anymore, it had now been almost two days when finally every one of us saw the lights flicker and heard our temperature control kick on! We were thrilled! In no time, our air conditioning plan had cooled our house right back down to from 84 degrees to our regular setting of 73. Both of us entirely learned our lesson though – make sure you have a generator for hurricane season so you never not have air conditioning!
