Our A/C was blowing sizzling air all because of a dirty coil

Our A/C seemed like it was working a lot harder than it usually does – it was typically kicking on, running for longer periods of time, and did not seem to be blowing incredibly cold air.

This raised a problem and question as to when the last time our air conditioning component was tested by an Heating and Air Conditioning professional.

Both of us figured it could not have been tested longer than a year ago, so every one of us just let it go and thought maybe it just was unusually sizzling out. I decided to YouTube why our A/C was working harder than typical and a video came up about the coils potentially being dirty. So, while seeing the Heating and Air Conditioning instructional video, I followed along and hosed off the outside of the coil after I turned off the power source. This did not help 1 bit, though it did look nice. I finally decided it was time to call an Heating and Air Conditioning professional to get my air conditioning component tested because I was not comfortable taking the inner pieces of my component apart, then he got there the following morning to perform routine service and said I was exactly right – it was a dirty coil. But, it was the inside space of the coil and I was easily cheerful. I did not attempt to clean it myself because I did not have the typical tools and supplies to do so the typical way. Our Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman had every product, tool and gadget you could imagine for this line of task and knew exactly what he was doing. I was thoroughly impressed and promised to be better about scheduling routine service on our air conditioning unit.
