I think I am too stupid to own a smart control unit.
First, the installation was sort of a pain.
I should have purchased a weather conditions control unit that my Heating plus A/C contractor sells. I then could have had a single of the Heating plus A/C workers do it for me. Instead I purchased something online that was cheaper plus did it myself. The control machine boasted capability with 95% of Heating plus A/C systems; At first it tried to tell me my unit was in that 5% of not capable. After a while I realized that there was a wire that I was affixing plus couldn’t. Emergency heating is something my Heating plus A/C system allows for that the control machine does not, so I lost that function in order to gain a new control unit. After installing it I thought my worries were over. Nope, the control machine is consistently a problem. I learn online that it learns a heating plus cooling program based on what you do. I don’t suppose what my control machine thinks, but 67 degrees at 4 am isn’t a wonderful temperature. The control machine will change my heating settings throughout the afternoon. I suppose it is trying to provide me energy efficient settings. I would like to waste my money on wonderful heating please! I frequently wake up in the middle of the evening chilly. I stop my work afternoon plus check my control machine because I suppose it is cold at home. Since my control machine is being such a turd I have ignored its wants for air filter swings. It will not listen to me, so I am not listening to it.
