They finally opened up the library for group meetings last week and so I got to my book club meeting for the first time in literally months.
It was really nice to see everyone and it was good to be back.
However, I think that they must have done something differently with the HVAC system while they were closed for business. The HVAC system in the library has never been all that great, honestly, I can’t have been the only one who noticed the fact that the indoor air quality in the library has been severely lacking in the past. I remember in the past whenever we would be trying to have our book club meeting, the heating and cooling system wouldn’t really work correctly. It was always either too hot or too cold and no matter what we did to adjust the thermostat, it never really helped at all. I found out that while they had been closed for the coronavirus shutdowns throughout our area, the library management had decided to completely redo the entire HVAC system. They had all of the ductwork professionally cleaned and sanitized, and they had installed a new heating and cooling system, too. On top of all of that, they decided to install a UV light air purification system to run in tandem with the heating and cooling to ensure that the indoor air quality in the library was the best that it could possibly be at all times. I could really tell the difference when we started our book club meetings back up again.
