Old house needs geothermal heat pump

My house does have enough energy to power this sort of heat pump up

When we bought this old house we were told upfront about the lack of heating and cooling. It has no furnace, fireplace, or anything else intended to warm the house. It also has no air conditioner at all. Apparently the previous owner was a miserly gentleman who only used 1 space heater in the house all winter long and who just opened the windows when it was hot. That might work some places but not here. Our summers get very warm and it is not uncommon for there to be a few days of snow in winter. We thought we would just get a fresh HVAC install once we moved in. Well that turned out to be more of a problem than we anticipated. Apparently the wiring in this house can’t handle a standard HVAC system. I am very thankful that the HVAC rep we hired did some tests and was honest upfront about it. We were seriously starting to think we had made a huge mistake when the same rep told us about energy saving HVAC systems. There are many energy saving HVAC systems to chose from but the one he recommended for me is the geothermal heat pump. Geothermal heat pumps don’t work like standard forced air HVAC system. To start with, they don’t have ductwork. But, more importantly, geothermal heat pumps use a lot less electricity than standard HVAC systems do. My house does have enough energy to power this sort of heat pump up. So that takes care of both my heating and cooling needs. Now I just need to get it installed.
