This last birthday for our son was a serious scorcher

Our son has his birthday in the midst of the summer season, so we have always made it a tradition to have water parties.

We always have a fun time with the swimming pool being open and everybody gets wet on our son’s birthday. We always make sure to set up water slides and we sometimes even have a sizable bounce house that has the waterslide built in! Well, at the last birthday party for our son, it was extremely hot. He was talking about not even going outside that day because he thought it was uncomfortable. That was until I gave him a cooling hat that would help keep him cool while he was out there playing with his buddies with their super soakers. I had to cook the food outside because I didn’t want the indoors to be uncomfortable in the least, especially with so many people wanting to relax at the birthday party. I kept the opening and closing of the front door to a minimum and I regularly brought out cold drinks for the kids who were playing. Our son had the best time and he said the cooling hat was one of the coolest hats he ever wore, pun intended. It was so hot out there while I was cooking though. I actually ended up taking the grill over to the tree that was providing some good shade. Usually the heat doesn’t bother me that much, but it was almost to the 100s. Everything went smoothly though, everybody drank tons of water and drinks, and all the food was eaten indoors. The temperature control settings were perfect and the A/C system never struggled.
