My friend was always pretty lucky.
Even when she was born, she was lucky, because she was born into a well off family of doctors.
Because of that, she was pampered and anything that she asked for, she ended up getting. I tried to be happy for her, but coming from a poor family myself, it was hard for me to watch. There were so many things that I would dream of as a child, all of the things I would do, how I would help the world and make an impact, but it would all be very limiting, because I didn’t have enough money. So all of those dreams would remain just that, dreams. My friend and I stayed friends as well, grew up, and graduated from the same college together. My friend, having a lot of money from her parents, didn’t need to work either and instead she would travel the world. When she got back from vacation, she told me one of her newest plans. Her home’s central air conditioning and heater wasn’t satisfactory for her, and so she planned on completely redoing everything. New cooling unit, new furnace, new thermostat, new everything. She was going to replace her perfectly good A/C unit and heater because it didn’t meet her standards. I wish I had enough money to update my A/C machine, it has also been having issues as well and will probably break soon. I was tempted to ask if I could use her own HVAC machine, but I knew hers wouldn’t work for my house, since her home is a good bit bigger than mine.
