I got up at more than five in the day; just care about I typically do. I headed to labor & put in our more than eight hours & then went home. On the way home, I stopped at the grocery store. It was a normal afternoon for me so far. I talked to the clerk, who was eager to tell me that there was a large storm on the way. He had heard on the sound dock that they were expecting the temperatures to plummet through the evening, & at least 8 inches of snow was going to fall. It was fifty degrees outside, & I thought it was just another false report from the weather forecaster. Heading out the door, I waved one last goodbye to the young guy & headed to our car. I had to admit that I was concerned with the weather report the young guy told me about, so I turned on the weather channel. Not only was the local channel talking about the impending storm, however so was the weather channel. I checked the battery in the temperature control & looked to see when I last had the furnace tested. That’s when I realized it hadn’t been done since last year. My phone call to the Heating & A/C corporation was not so productive. There wasn’t anyone available & the lady on the phone told me there may not be a Heating & A/C worker available for a couple of mornings. I told her our furnace could wait that long. I started dinner & wondered if I was right about the furnace lasting for a couple of mornings.
