Nick and Mat have a like dislike relationship, leaning more towards the dislike side of things. Nick gets along with his other siblings, but Mat and him have always been like cats and dogs. Through it all, the one thing Nick can give Mat credit for is being honest. He was mean as a snake, but he never lied. This is the sort of quality you don’t adore until you are older, and you come to value people who will be honest to you no matter what. When Nick told Mat he was going to school to learn comedy acting, Mat called him an idiot. He planned on getting certified for Heating and Air Conditioning repair, and starting work for a local dealer.Nick told Mat he should do the same thing. He said that he was chasing a dream, and that he didn’t want to spend his life laboring on a/cs and gas furnaces. Mat laughed and explained that he didn’t dream of laboring on a/cs either, but he did dream of having money, owning a house, and getting everything he ever wanted. By studying for his Heating and Air Conditioning certification and getting employed, Mat could avoid all student debt and start off making strong wages.
