I wasn’t so sure that I’d be a part of this group and see all the variations that are taking place.
In fact, I was just a few short afternoons away from leaving this supplier for good.
But a senior corporate leader who I’d known all of our job asked me to be patient just that much longer. I decided to sweat it out another month in the disappointing air conditioning of our offices. That’s the sort of regard I had for that leader. If she said things were about to change, I had to think her. It sure wasn’t going to get any worse. The office was a mess. Our replace was off, the morale was wrecked and the heating and cooling was the worst. I couldn’t think that it was 2021 and I was laboring in an environment where the air conditioning barely worked. It was just the worst. And we came to this situation because of disappointing mismanagement over the course of about 5 years. In fact, it had been five years since an Heating & A/C supplier had set foot in the office. And the Heating & A/C equipment was old and old even back then. But that was only part of the concerns. But tploy to her word, there was change and that leader saw to it that we got the right sort of leadership. One of the first things the new employer did was to have the Heating & A/C supplier replace the Heating & A/C equipment. The two of us were given a couple afternoons off with pay while they installed the new Heating & A/C unit. And we came back to work to enjoy zone controlled Heating & A/C across the office.
