The sink started leaking and then the AC stopped blowing cold air

Last weekend I stayed home from work because I wasn’t feeling very well.

A couple of people at my office had the flu and I thought for sure that I was going to end up sick as well.

I planned to stay in bed all day on Saturday. I woke up early and had some oatmeal and toast. I went back to bed and fell asleep for a couple of hours. When I woke up, I heard the sink in the bathroom tripping. I got up and turned the faucet lever. The leaking did not stop. I really felt awful and I was starting to get a headache so I stuffed a washcloth in the sink so I wouldn’t have to listen to the sound of the leaking faucet. That wasn’t the worst part of my day. About an hour after the plumbing leak started, the air conditioner stopped blowing cold air. I was feeling especially warm and I thought I had a fever. When I checked the thermostat, I realized that something wasn’t right. The air conditioner was running but I didn’t feel any cold air coming out of the vents. I couldn’t wait to have the AC problem fixed. I contacted the maintenance shop and told them that the AC wasn’t working properly. They told me that there would not be an available person until after lunch. I wanted to spend the whole day in bed resting, but I ended up having to deal with plumbing and AC problems all day. I didn’t get much rest at all, so I took the next day off work as well.
