When you want to get an electric fireplace for a cabin, think and plan ahead for its installation. This is crucial because if you ever want to adjust the position of your electric fireplace it’s going to be an uphill task. It’s best to leave it be until you want to move the electric fireplace to a new home. Think long and hard about where you want to put your electric fireplace before it arrives. Otherwise you’ll be in hot water. I saw this first hand when my buddy wanted to move his electric fireplace to another part of his home after having it set up. This wasn’t a simple undertaking. My buddy was forced to contact a fireplace expert with experience in moving electric fireplaces and reinstallation since he couldn’t do it himself. My buddy explained to me about the hassle and hefty bill he got just to move that electric fireplace by an expert that could uninstall it and then reinstall it across the room. The whole thing was completely bonkers. Imagine paying all that money just to move an electric fireplace to another part of the same room? So not worth it! His experience taught me that when I get an electric fireplace, I must know where I want it so that I never have to move it within the same cabin as long as I live here.
