They had to repair the a/c for the polar bear exhibit at the zoo Last monthwhen I was there with our kids. They had been wanting to go to the zoo for quite a while, although I kept putting it off because it was just too cold outside. The weather is heating up now and so there’s entirely just a short window of time where you can go to the zoo between when it is too cold and when it’s too hot, then since all of the exhibits are outside basically, you have to go at just the right time. Well, really not all of the exhibits are outside, however during the winter, the polar bear exhibit is outside, however in the summertime they transport it inside because the un-even temperatures get too boiling outside. Last week, the weather was pretty boiling and entirely every one of us saw a whole bunch of people running toward the polar bear exhibit. Apparently, the big commercial air conditioner unit that they use to keep the polar bears cool had broken down and everyone was panicking about it. I believe it’s not entirely great for the polar bears who live without their air conditioner unit for any length of time at all during the summer. However, the commercial heating and cooling business that the zoo uses must be pretty great because before every one of us even had time to get up there to see what was going on, there was a whole crew of HVAC specialists coming in and heading up there with their tools. They had the air conditioner fixed entirely suddenly and the polar bears were back to normal.
