They had to service the air conditioner for the polar bear exhibit at the zoo Last monthwhen I was there with our adolescents.
They had been wanting to go to the zoo for quite a while, although I kept putting it off because it was just too cold outside.
The weather is heating up now & so there’s definitely just a short window of time where you can go to the zoo between when it is too cold & when it’s too hot. Since all of the exhibits are outside basically, you have to go at just the right time. Well, really not all of the exhibits are outside, during the winter, the polar bear exhibit is outside, but in the summertime they transport it inside because the hot & cold temperatures get too sizzling outside. Last week, the weather was pretty moderate & actually all of us saw a whole bunch of people running toward the polar bear exhibit. Apparently, the big commercial air conditioner component that they use to keep the polar bears cool had broken down & everyone was panicking about it. I believe it’s not definitely good for the polar bears who live without their air conditioner component for any length of time at all while I was in the summer. However, the commercial heating & cooling corporation that the zoo uses must be pretty good because before all of us even had time to get up there to see what was going on, there was a whole crew of Heating, Ventilation, & A/C companys coming in & heading up there with their tools. They had the air conditioner fixed definitely suddenly & the polar bears were back to normal.
